Dr. Nick Ashby

Dr Nick Ashby graduated from vet school at Melbourne University in 1990. Nick has always enjoyed working in veterinary practice, with most of his career with companion animals and some experience working with farm animals. Nick started working at East Malvern Vet Clinic in 1999 and became a partner in 2000. He has expanded and modified the clinic extensively, and is constantly upgrading the facilities. “In order to achieve high quality veterinary treatment you need to incorporate new technologies and continue professional development.” Nick has achieved both by regularly attending veterinary seminars and courses both here and overseas, as well as providing new and modern xray, anaesthetic, monitoring and blood testing equipment.

“I just love working with animals – ever since I can remember I was fascinated by them. I have been lucky enough to treat farm animals, zoo animals, kids pets and family pets. Sometimes I have even had a goat or a sheep sitting in the waiting room ! Seeing a loved family pet recover from illness or surgery is the best reward I get every day”
